From the Avon Police Department: This Friday, September 25, 2009 from 12pm - 4pm members of the Avon Police Department, Simsbury Police Department, Farmington Police Department, and Canton Police Department will be conducting two traffic details as part of a Regional Traffic Team. Officers will be assigned to Simsbury Road, Avon, CT and Hollister Drive near the area of Lenox Road, Avon, CT. These details are to enforce all motor vehicle laws with an emphasis on teen driving laws, seat belt enforcement, cell phone use, and commercial truck enforcement.
Regional Traffic Team: The Regional Traffic Team is comprised of police departments from the North Central Region (Avon, Bloomfield, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Suffield, Windsor, Windsor Locks, and Granby). Similar traffic details will be taking place monthly in one of the towns listed above.
